The JAECOO J5 EV, known as EJ5 at the factory, is a front-wheel-drive compact electric SUV, 4.38 metres long. A 208 hp (155 kW), 288 N·m motor and a 60.9 kWh gross (58.9 kWh usable) LFP battery give it a 459 km CLTC range. The five-seat cabin has a vertical central screen, a panoramic roof, 480 litres of trunk space, and a 35-litre front trunk.
DC charging reaches 130 kW and takes about 35 minutes from 10–80%; the 11 kW AC charger completes the battery in about five and a half hours, and V2L delivers 3 kW. European homologation records 0–100 km/h in 7.7 seconds, a 174 km/h top speed, and 1,765 kg. CLTC is a laboratory reference: real range falls with speed, hills, weather, and load. Confirm the local configuration with the distributor.
