At $28,990, the BYD S1 Pro GS is the equipped version of Costa Rica's best-selling electric SUV: the same 175 hp motor, 45.12 kWh Blade battery, and 401 km CLTC rating as the GL, plus the ADAS suite, panoramic roof, and blind-spot detection that the official sheet reserves for this trim.

It shares the GL's 215 mm of ground clearance, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, and 8-year battery warranty. The difference shows on the road: adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and traffic-sign recognition, plus the panoramic roof the GL does not get.

The LFP Blade battery refills at home in about six and a half hours on the 7 kW charger and takes around 30 minutes for a 10–80% DC stop at 65 kW. The connector is GB/T; confirm station compatibility on your regular routes. Power, weight, and cargo (265 L, 1,210 L with the seats folded) match the GL on the February 2026 Costa Rica sheet.
